Family Circle partners with OnBoard to discover America’s “Ten Best Towns for Families”

Results presented on CBS’s Early Show

New York, New York, July 16, 2007 — OnBoard, LLC, the leading provider of local information on homes, schools and places of interest, has partnered with Family Circle magazine to identify the ten best places in America for families. The results were featured in the current issue of Family Circle and were presented on today’s edition of The Early Show on CBS.

Linda Fierce, editor in chief for Family Circle, appeared on the Early Show to discuss the top towns and the criteria for picking them. “We were interested in the finding small towns and small cities – hidden gems that are off the radar that we could report on,” said Fierce. Fierce also credited OnBoard as the magazine’s partner.

Family Circle tapped OnBoard’s “Custom Shop” – the company’s crack team of in-house local information experts – to formulate the list. The Custom Shop was able to take Family Circle’s detailed criteria and apply them to their vast store of information on communities coast to coast using its proprietary analytical methodologies.

“We were thrilled to help Family Circle with this project,” said Marc Siden, OnBoard’s CEO. “Our mission at OnBoard is to bring information to life, and we believe we achieved that here for families looking for a safe, hospitable community in which to live.”

The top ten family friendly cities are:

  • Castle Rock, CO
  • Diamond Bar, CA
  • Morton Grove, IL
  • Cedar Park, TX
  • Derby, KS
  • Kennesaw, GA
  • Cooper City, FL
  • Madison, MS
